FAQ: FAQ

What does Thiazzi actually do?

We are the first publicly available service that physically, and permanently, removes CO2 from the atmosphere. We do this in multiple ways, right now predominantly by burying biochar underground, where it came from

Is it even possible to remove all human made CO2 from the atmosphere?

Short answer: Yes. A bit longer: There is about 500 billion ton of CO2 in the air, that we have put there. It will take a while, and it will be a lot of work, but yes, if we were able to add it to the atmosphere, we can surely take it away

How large is my carbon footprint, and where does it come from?

Your footprint is roughly seven ton per year if you live in EU, or about 15-20 per year if you live in the US. About 20% is from your food, 25% from driving and flying, 50% from consumption of goods and services, the rest is electricity

My uncle says that the climate crisis is a hoax made up by green activists

Your uncle is sadly wrong. There is larger scientific consensus that human made CO2 is warming the planet to disastrous levels than there is scientific consensus that we have landed on the moon, or that the earth is round.

What does Thiazzi stand for?-

Thiazzi in the Norse Mythology was a giant, whose daughter was Skadi, the goddess of Cold and Ice. Thiazzi is hence the father of Winter. It would be great if future generations could experience cold as well
